-Have you been thinking about starting a backyard chicken flock (after using
the winter to build the most epic coop ever)?
-Would you like to welcome a hive of honey bees to your yard?
-Is a plant in your yard giving you problems?
-Do you need more mushrooms in your life?
-Have you been thinking about saving seeds from your garden?
Come to the market this Saturday to chat with our tablers about all these
things and more!
Minneapolis Animal Care and Control will be onsite to help you navigate the
city agriculture rules and give tours of their truck! Rob Czernik, owner of
Powderhorn Feed Company, will be on hand to answer all your chicken care
questions.Seed Sages can resolve all you seed saving inquiries. As always, you
can try to stump the Master Gardeners with all your plant questions. Plus, you
can see a variety of wild mushrooms and get foraging advice from Kathy Yerich!
In addition, we are having an extra special musical guest! Accordo Chamber
Ensemble will be stopping by the market from 11-11:30!
Now in its seventh year, Accordo (recently named “Best Chamber Ensemble” by the
Minneapolis Star Tribune) is composed of Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and
Minnesota Orchestra principal string players Rebecca Albers, Ruggero
Allifranchini, Steven Copes, Erin Keefe, Kyu-Young Kim, Maiya Papach and
Anthony Ross; and former SPCO principal cellist Ronald Thomas.
Accordo is presented by The Schubert Club and Kate Nordstrum Projects. This
season will feature three programs, two in the national historic landmark,
