Here's a chance to hear and talk with King Field resident and author Jay
Walljasper. His recently published book, "The Great Neighborhood Book - A
Do-It-Yourself Guide To Placemaking", highlights developments and ideas in
communities around the world and discusses making great places in our
neighborhoods.
A senior fellow at the Project for Public Spaces, Walljasper has written
articles for The Nation, Mother Jones, Preservation, the Chicago Tribune
magazine, Philadelphia Inquirer magazine, L.A. Weekly, E magazine, Rock N Rap
Confidential and numerous international publications. He was Culture Editor at
In These Times and a travel editor at Better Homes & Gardens.
Jay is a respected consultant and speaker on making places for people and
building neighborhoods. Jay is also the former editor of the Utne Reader and
current executive editor of Ode magazine.
