will be funding with that enormous amount of money? (not enough to meet
the full need, but more than has been available the past)
Yes, some of that money should be used for permanent housing (and services)
for individuals. But there's a HUGE unmet need for families, including
teen parents and homeless teens. There seem to be far fewer advocates for
these young families. The most recent proposals for funding from Mn
Housing don't even MENTION youth who are experiencing homelessness.
We need MANY more places like Ain Dah Yung - which provide both housing and
assistance to young people.
