1) All 3 SEIU endorsed Minneapolis School Board Candidates did robo calls to
delegates and alternates to the city convention. Those candidates were Lydia
Lee, Jill Davis, and Carla Bates. Some of the calls reminded people where and
when to go to be part of the process and some asked for an endorsement. It's
no different than an automated reminder call before a doctor's appointment,
which is now rather common.
2) While it is true that some candidates have sent flyers others have sent out
postcards with meet and greet events but it's all a matter of timing. There is
nothing wrong with direct mail, which all 4 known Minneapolis School Board
Candidates have used. The difference is that some have been connecting with
potential supporters since precinct caucuses back in February and some have
just started in the past few weeks.
3) All 4 known Minneapolis School Board Candidates have sent emails out to
delegation members that they have come in contact with too.
4) All 4 known Minneapolis School Board Candidates also have web sites with
endorsements and ideas. All 4 known Minneapolis School Board Candidates are
organized and passionate about the future of Minneapolis Public Schools. Take
a Look for yourself and make up your own mind.
