As part of Minneapolis' plan to begin replacing that furniture in 2009, residents and businesses are invited to share their input on what the new furniture should look like at a public open house this May.* *Overview presentations at 5:30 and 7 p.m.* *Minneapolis Convention Center, Mezzanine room M101C* *(1301 Second Ave. S.) The Council gathers parents, community members, staff, and district leadership together monthly to share information on the current challenges and opportunities for Area B schools. We will have 36 booths showing student work, art work for sale, alumni artist Anthony Hary, comic book designer, ethnic foods, and stage performances. Admission is free. There will be activities for the family, good food, many things to buy, and a stage performance for you too enjoy until 8:00. *- Sat, May 17, 9:00-11:00am. – Perennial Swap at Word of Grace Baptist Church*. Come meet other garden enthusiasts and exchange gardening information. This swap is for perennials and gardening related items such as bird houses, gardening books, bird baths and garden ornaments. No house plants or annuals. We are asking for plants that are well established, of good size and in gallon pots or larger. PLEASE (if possible) MARK ALL PLANT MATERIALS WITH THE PLANT NAME AND CARE REQUIRED. Complimentary garden pinwheels and refreshments will be available.
