The City will continue to help however we can.*
On August 9th, the Park Board voted 6-3 to reduce pumping

at the Hiawatha Golf Course, which means transitioning away from the
18-holes and potentially all golf at the park. The Board will soon be
forming a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to make recommendations on
future use and land management of the park. Those interested in serving on
the CAC should stay tuned and look to the Park Board for updates

regardless of future use, improvements are made to the City's stormwater
infrastructure to reduce litter entering Lake Hiawatha and improve water
quality.
