If you look around the Minneapolis Police site,
http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/police/crime-statistics/ , you can find some
pretty good information. Sometimes I think you need to actually be part of the
police force to understand what they are talking about and the PDF's images do
not match the legend unless you have the zoomed in enough. I would really
recommend the alerts. They are pretty timely and informative. One of the
emails is the weekly highlights,
http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/police/crimealert/2008-03-17-MPD-Highlights.asp
. The other emails are alerts like if there was a murder or a high frequency
of something.
The other thing we can use on the e-democracy site is the Wiki thats available,
http://pages.e-democracy.org/Standish_Ericsson . I posted some things about a
year or so ago.
