Why do we put up with 26th Ave Cub store?

The answer, in my opinion, is good old fashioned competition.
Early last year, both the Midway Cub Foods and Rainbow (about 2 blocks
apart) were getting major facelifts. I was a bit puzzled by this,
until I realized that a SuperTarget was about to open another block
away.
Then it all made sense. Both Cub and Rainbow were updating their
stores to try and keep customers when SuperTarget opened.
At least, that's my theory - and it makes good sense.
So if you want to get your Cub Store cleaned up, all you have to do is
build another major supermarket (must be brand new) in the
neighborhood - and that will get their attention.
