Why do we put up with 26th Ave Cub store?

All my friends and many U students refer to the Lake Street Cub and Rainbow
both as "ghetto" as in "lets get to the ghetto Cub" or the "Ghetto Rainbow."
The dilapidated and outdated interiors and obnoxiously high presence of
low-income residents needing to process food stamps and such makes it our
favorite place to buy booze related items at the cheap such as mixers and
crackers. And you know what, the Cub on Broadway in Near North is far nicer and
has a larger selection than this one. If the Quarry Rainbow wasn't faster to
get to, I'd probably go to the northside than go south to the Lake Street. Just
the truth! Seward is nice but beyond the budget of someone who doesn't have a
pension-fund.
