PPNA's Annual Community Dinner and Meeting is this Thursday (10/11) at the
Powderhorn Recreation Center. Dinner from Marla's Caribbean will be served
at 5:30 pm and the meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.
The BIG Idea Neighborhood Caucus:
Here's how it works:
- You (alone or with a group of neighbors) have a great idea for a
neighborhood project.
- You attend the PPNA Annual Meeting, sign up to present your idea to the
attendees. You will have 2-minutes to "pitch" your idea.
- At least four other residents sign-on to help you implement your "Big
Idea". If this happens you move on to the final voting.
- After all ideas are presented, those residents in attendance vote on the
winning "Big Idea"
- The winning "Big Idea" will receive up to $500 in implementation
assistance from PPNA.
2012 Board Elections
We are excited to announce several director openings on the PPNA Board of
Directors. PPNA is a growing organization that tackles a broad range of
issues: Arts and Culture, Safety, Sustainability, Economic Development, as
well as our annual keystone events in the park: the Fourth of July fireworks
celebration and the Powderhorn Art Fair. We are looking for several
energetic, strategically-minded leaders to help PPNA and our neighborhood
thrive.
PPNA works to enhance the quality of life in the Powderhorn Park
neighborhood by facilitating community engagement, embracing a diversity of
voices, and fostering economic and community development. Be a part of this
important mission!
