The purpose of the Minneapolis Northeast Neighbors Forum is to provide an online space for sharing information and having discussions about Northeast Minneapolis civic issues and community life. This is a space where people interested in the Northeast Minneapolis Neighborhood - with diverse ideas and backgrounds - can discuss the important local issues in a civil and respectful manner.

The goals of Minneapolis Northeast Neighbors Forum are:

  • To provide an online space where people interested in the Northeast Minneapolis Neighborhood can share information and have conversations about neighborhood civic issues and community life.

Typical Topics

Topics that you might find here to discuss include:

  • Suggested use for neighborhood organizations: We encourage you to share meeting agendas, newsletter articles, and any other announcements that may be of interest to other neighborhoods.
  • Suggested use for artists/musicians/promoters: We want to know about shows and events happening in Northeast Minneapolis. Please be considerate and avoid repetitive posting of information.
  • Suggested use for elected officials/candidates: If you represent (or seek to represent) the community, we want to know where you stand on the issues. You are encouraged to share explanations of your votes and positions, as well as newsletters and other resources that may be valuable to the community.
  • Suggested use for business owners: We welcome occasional announcements about special events, but encourage you to participate in other conversations, too. Feel free to respond to queries about service providers.
  • Suggested use for bloggers, journalists and other media: We appreciate links and articles related to our neighborhood. Please, though, no blanket posting of city-wide newsletters or other off-topic content.
