Joel, my business was in the building just North of their parking lot. I
was told that building had been the post office. Probably built in the
50's or very early 60's. The basement was built as a bomb shelter. The
basement was at least 12 feet deep and dry as a desert year 'round. It had
been designed to store rations like powdered milk and k ration stuff.
They probably also had dehydrated water.
Migizi was moving in before the fire. What a shame.
Thanks for the update. I hope they rebuild solar ready and power their
electric delivery vehicles from the sun.
