precinct due to comments of one neighborhood. Shame on Seward! Many of their
comments were anti police. We just had a car jacking in the Seward COOP
grocery parking lot. The police quickly found the car and arrested the car
jackers because a squad was on patrol nearby. We need police presence in the
Third Precinct and a new police building.
This site is barely in the Seward Industrial Park that serves all of the
residents of South Minneapolis. The closest residents are not in Seward but in
Longfellow
Residents in the rest of the area for the 3rd Precinct support the precinct.
The residents of Longfellow Community overwhelmingly supported the precinct.
Folks in the NextDoor Howe overwhelming supported the third precinct. We need
police protection.
The opponents of the Precinct were mostly anti police. One suggested the
police operate out of tents. Another did not want to see police cars in
Seward. How can we listen to them and not the all the citizens of the 3rd
Precinct? Look at the comments after the article in the paper
The over 100,000 residents of South Minneapolis are being held hostage by one
small group in Seward. For Councilmembers especially Gordon and Allison, read
the Next Door comments. Read all the folks who opposed your decision after the
article in paper. We do not agree with you. Listen to all the residents!! Not
just a few!!!
