Purpose and Goals

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for everyone in Mountain Brook to participate in our local democracy.

The goal of this forum is to have active conversations about a wide range of topics relevant to our community that reflect a wide range of points of view.

Typical Topics

Topics that you might find here to discuss include:

  • Community news and local event announcements
  • Local business resources and service referrals
  • Sharing information or ideas
  • Discussions on community issues and happenings
  • Getting involved in local initiatives or causes Meeting neighbors and other community members
  • Helping neighbors in need (sharing, lost pets, etc.)

Participation Rules

Forum Leadership

This forum will open with a round of introductions when membership has reached 100.

The volunteer Forum Manager is responsible for the general health and well-being of the forum. The Forum Manager shall:

  • Respond to participant questions
  • Listen to complaints or concerns
  • Encourage active participation
