spotted that Broadband access wasn't part of the draft 20 year comprehensive
plan.
Okay, it's part of the plan, but the planning statement is pretty weak:
Broadband Internet
Eveleth currently has broadband internet service in several areas throughout
town, however some areas do not have access to broadband infrastructure.
Broadband is a
valuable asset that can encourage residential and commercial development.

If you're aware of stronger planning statements, perhaps those that tie ultra
high speed Internet access to economic development or specific capacity goals,
can you post the language and the links?
There's a public comment meeting on the draft plan next Thursday and this group
is getting together again next Tuesday, so anything you can find between now
and then would be greatly appreciated.
I think this is important because I believe in coming to the table with
"solutions" not just a criticism.
Thanks much!
