Does anyone out there have a contact list of Minnesota bloggers?
E-Democracy.Org will be using this information to contact bloggers about the
Minnesota Minute video project and if in Greater MN, about the Rural Voices
initiative.
Let us know: <email obscured>

The Minnesota Organization of Bloggers is the biggest active group of bloggers in the state - indeed, probably the nation. The group is non-partisan (although most of us are center-right). The "contact list" is on every single MOB blog; we all have a blogroll that lists all the rest of us! However, here's the "official" page: http://www.fraterslibertas.com/Images/MOB/MOBindex.htm "True North" is an offshoot of the MOB; it's a group blog, and is overtly center-right conservative. But TN (unlike the MOB) is explicitly political in nature, and has some of the more outspoken bloggers writing for it.
Mitch Berg promotes the MOB as a group of "Center Right" blogs. It's not - it's right wing blogs - and many fringe blogs are on that blogroll. Many of the blogs on the blogroll aren't current. That's the nature of blogs - people get in, and leave blogging. The MOB is all right-wing bloggers with the exception of Flash (Centrisity), whose blog seems center left. It also includes fringe blogs like antistrib, who regularly do racist posts to build their traffic. One notorious example is a post about "Dirt Worshiping Heathens" to describe Native Americans. Look True North is definitely partisan, and includes people like Janet Boynes - Michele Bachmann's Ex-Lesbian side-kick. That's not exactly mainstream. Since Berg has brought up, the MOB, and Look True North, I'd be interested in his take on a little Look True North mystery story. http://dumpbachmann.blogspot.com/2008/03/minnesota-majority-targets-private.html MOB and Look True North Blogger Drew Emmer posted an item on Look True North listing home, work phone numbers and home address and photo of Karl Bremer - a private citizen who disagreed with him. The post has since been taken down. http://minnesotamonitor.com/upload/tncache3.JPG Emmer was called out on his hypocrisy by Hal Kimball: http://dumpbachmann.blogspot.com/2008/03/wright-republican-emmer-hypocrisy-at.html After Emmer was called out on this hypocrisy, he denied making this post: http://lloydletta.blogspot.com/2008/04/drew-emmer-denies-authorship-of-true.html So maybe Mitch can explain how Look True North works. How would a post on Look True North be made to look as if it was posted under another author? When I've had a group blog, each individual blogger uses a password to login, and the authorship of the posts is linked to the login credentials. CLOSED CIRCUIT TO STEVEN CLIFT: I wasn't aware that
you were soliciting debate on blogs. Please clarify?
E-Democracy.Org is seeking to create a contact list so we can connect with Minnesota bloggers. In part to spread the word about http://minnesotaminute.org, but also so we find more Greater Minnesota blogs http://e-democracy.org/rv. While we are at, we will also invite the political bloggers to add themselves here: http://pages.e-democracy.org/Minnesota_political_blogs Since few bloggers seem to list an e-mail address, if someone already has a good collection we'd appreciate the help. Thanks, Steven Clift E-Democracy.Org P.S. Is anyone aware of a _comprehensive_ site like this for Minnesota: http://www.orblogs.com

Actually, the most comprehensive list is probably this one: http://blogs.citypages.com/mnblogs/ While I can't vouch for how many of them pass Eva's ideological purity test, the list is exceedingly complete. Mitch Berg The Midway
Thanks to those who supplied answers. Our goal is to get as much information about what is out there as possible, without regard to ideology, so the links provided should be helpful. Here is what we have so far: http://blogs.citypages.com/mnblogs/ http://www.blognetnews.com/minnesota/ http://www.fraterslibertas.com/Images/MOB/MOBindex.htm This is our own very incomplete list (anyone can help update it): http://pages.e-democracy.org/Minnesota_political_blogs Also, this is a recent list of rural Minnesota Citizen Media projects: http://pages.e-democracy.org/Minnesota_citizen_media Tim Erickson E-Democracy.Org - - - - - - - - - - - -
