lying. Not being wrong. But lying. It's a bad feeling.
The first issue would be the supposed need to test GOP loyalty by their
upholding Trump's lies about the election being stolen. They know it is
hogwash, unadulterated BS. But they lie about it when they say they believe
it. And then they claim they have to address the issue because their
constituency is concerned. They should tell their constituency that it would
be more credible to believe in the tooth fairy.
Then they vote for bills making it harder to vote under pretext of
protecting the vote from fraud. They know that the fraud doesn't exist. I'm
left with feeling they are lying. I don't know what else is a truthful
description, except possibly immense ignorance. I suppose I should include
mental illness but that degrades the serious subject of mental illnesses.

Not restricting myself to GOP politicians, why is lying for political
reasons not the same as just lying? Is it because it is easy to obfuscate
with more lying that is also obfuscated to the point they think we're
confused?
