Locals Online is the start of a peer to peer network of the "hosts" very
local online spaces. Whether the community blogs, neighborhood e-mail lists,
or local social networking groups, at some point we've created the diverse
online places covered in your survey.
First, let me thank you, Lee Rainie and the whole crew at the Pew Internet
and American Life Project for putting some numbers to a field near and dear
to us.
Second, thank you for agreeing to be on the virtual stage for a roughly one
week question and answer session. I'll have a question a day for you
(skipping the weekend) and I encourage others to jump in as well.
If anyone has new question, create a new topic like:
Question - Rural adoption
If you have a related or follow-up question, there is no need to create a
new topic ... just maintain the current subject line.
So Aaron Smith, please introduce yourself and give us a bit of background on
why you chose this topic and how you developed the questions.
Welcome,
Steven Clift
