I'd like to welcome everyone to the Las Vegas Issues Forum! This is NOT the official welcome, which should be coming soon from either Bob Wallace or Julie Olague. Bob and Julie are the local organizers of this forum, I'm a support person with E-Democracy.org, who has been helping them get things going. I'm posting this note ahead of the official welcome, because I know that some of you are a little confused about what is happening. We experienced some difficulties while launching the forum and I understand that some of your were deluged with duplicate "welcome" messages. I apologize for that, it was my fault! While Bob and Julie are responsible for facilitating the discussion in this forum, its my job to deal with the technical issues. If anyone is having trouble logging into the site or changing their email settings, please contact me at:
If you don't want to get all the messages to the forum in your email box, you can change your settings to either "daily digest" or "web only." See this page for information on how to do this: http://pages.e-democracy.org/Change_Email_Settings (the pages look slightly different today, but this should help) If you need additional help, don't hesitate to contact me. Please, be patient during the first few days we iron out the bugs in the forum. Best wishes, Tim Erickson E-Democracy.Org
Welcome to the Local Issues Forum If you were one of the chosen few to receive numerous Welcome letters from our hosts at E-Democracy.org, please excuse the human/technical error... If however, you have not heard from us, we want to take this opportunity to *Officially* welcome one and all to the Las Vegas Local Issues Forum. As you may have seen in our previous letters, Bob Wallace is the Moderator of the Forum, and I am Julie Olague, Bob's co-producer, from Tecolote. Based on the suggestions of Tim Erickson, our Forum Mentor, Bob and I agree that as we begin our Forum, as a courtesy to others you may want to introduce yourself on your first posting. A couple of suggestions as we move on here: Please remember that you can change your e-mail settings at anytime, simply by clicking on the Email link to the left on the Forum site. This simply means that instead of receiving an e-mail for each post you may opt to receive a Daily Digest, so you can easily click on the link of your interest. Another helpful tip is to bookmark or save the forum link, to take you directly to the site: * http://forums.e-democracy.org/groups/lasvegas-issues/ * If you have any questions at any point in the process, feel free to contact: Bob at *
* <
> and I can be reached at *
* <
>.
