Save the date! Save the world! Tuesday, August 5, 2008 is the 25th National Night Out (NNO). It's THE night to reconnect with the Police and your Neighbors - not that you're disconnected or anything - and show the Dark Side once and for all that we are not afraid of anything except Fear and Paranoia. And maybe rubber bullets and tasers. But that's all. Except maybe horses and German Shepards. But especially Fear itself. With $50,000,000 coming to Saint Paul to protect us, serve us, and deliver us from Evil, NNO will be a good time to ask your local officers how this money will be put to use to ensure security in the homeland. Maybe they have some new tools of the trade to show you. Maybe they have Silver Bullets for the 25th Anniversary of NNO. Maybe they can tell you something about the "foreign" officers who will be coming to town to save us all from each other. When we help the Police, the Police help us. That's the theory, anyway. Just because we pay their salaries doesn't mean we get to tell them what to do, I don't think, but we can certainly make suggestions. Or maybe you just want to show your appreciation for their courage and bravery by telling them something like (to be continued... preferably by you...)
