got from the call for folks to think outside the box. The guiding question,
to paraphrase was: how can we have food/groceries and maybe some community
space in Nobscot?
I've included a link to all the comments at the bottom, but here's my crack
at a summary.
1) There are many desirable options for groceries across the spectrum from
Brothers to a Deli & fruit/veggie store to food co-ops
2) There were several types of food co-op models mentioned from those that
include a cafe to those that would feature Nobscot-ian farms.
3) Providing space for 1) or 2) could be part of the re-zoning deal
4) Let me add my own edit here: "the plaza" is not the only piece of real
estate on the block

There are other vacancies that could be used if we are sufficiently
motivated.
There were a few comments about trying to pressure Shaws - it's not a
definite win, but could be part of the mix. Who says we all have to agree
on one approach? Maybe we do the carrot and the stick.

It's anonymous, but the bold face indicates a change of speaker for some
semblance of clarity :)
