City of Framingham Parks & Recreation Department
FRIDAY, JULY 29 @ 9:30am β
The waterfront at Saxonville Beach is CLOSED due to a MA Dept. of Public Health
Advisory for Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae).
Visual evidence provided by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR)
indicate the presence of a cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) bloom in the North
Pond of Lake Cochituate. As a precaution, MDPH is recommending that a public
health advisory be issued for the North Pond and signage be posted at each
access point to warn individuals against contact with the water.
This body of water is UNSAFE FOR PEOPLE AND PETS! Do not swim. Do not swallow
the water. Keep animals away. Rinse off after contact with water.
Additional information can be found at www.mass.gov/dph/algae

open to the public.
