turkeys foraging for acorns. At least two toms and three hens and a
bunch of juveniles.
Turkeys are not too smart about crossing the road and with the
prevailing speed of traffic at twice the posted, I figure it will only
be a matter of time before I hear a thump and can go out and collect
Thanksgiving dinner from the roadside.
To be fair, some people do actually slow down for the birds, but others
just employ their horn as an alternative to using the brakes, or just
continue blasting down the road while looking at their phone and don't
even see the turkeys.
