Tomorrow, Saturday March 10th, Transition Framingham along with 14 other
organizations will co-host Green Framingham United 2.0. The event will be held
at First Parish Church (24 Vernon St.) and will run from 1:30pm to 5pm.
* We kindly ask that you bring your own water bottle to help reduce our cleanup
efforts.
* If you have well behaved children that might be interested in the event feel
free to bring them along as well :)
* If you can only come for part of the event, that's totally acceptable!
During this event we will use a facilitation methodology called Open Space
Technology to brainstorm ways that we can all work together to make Framingham
more sustainable and resilient.
* Is there a project that you have dreamed up that is too big for you to take
on alone?
* Do you have a great idea but you need help with specific skills to bring it
to life?
* Maybe you just want to come hear what other people's ideas or share your
wisdom.
After the brainstorm each person will vote on their favorite ideas and the ones
with the most votes will be awarded break out sessions to go deeper into the
viability of the idea. After the breakout sessions we will get back together
to hear reports from the sessions. We will create working groups for ideas
that have sufficient viability and momentum with the goal of making Framingham
a greener place to live, work and play.
