truth was permitted on TV. Ah, the good old days.
Therapy or Sex Sales?

This has been an ongoing problem for the town for a long time. My interest in
the topic had to do with, of course my favorite topic that is not appreciated
here for telling the truth about things like it is. Pretty painful for some to
admit especially when its on the front page of the paper.
If you read the article and put your racist attack comments aside and look at
it for what is going on you will appreciate that the police are finally seeing
that it's tied into immigration issues, especially with the human trafficking
of women who are the ones supplying the labor for these sex massage parlors and
business to operate. Human trafficking has to do with mostly illegal immigrant
women who are forced into this illegal type of work. There is really no
debate on this one for those wanting to figure it out.
Notice this quote from article to show this is the case...
"Ryan said her office has been working on the human trafficking problem
for a long time, including by training first responders, ESL and citizenship
tutors and clergy serving immigrant and refugee communities to recognize the
signs.
βOne of the problems with these cases is no one usually comes forward and
says βIβm the victim of trafficking,ββ she said.
A Framingham nonprofit formed last year called RIA House β
Ready.Inspire.Act, works to raise awareness and money to help victims of sex
trafficking, slavery and exploitation"
Couldn't be any plainer than that ya think? "victims of sex trafficking,
slavery and exploitation". Not something that usually happens to people here
legally.
As you can see these poor women are VICTIMS!
I had a solution to stop this problem some years ago but the TM rejected it and
here we are today talking about it again.
I asked the board of Selectmen to ask ALL businesses who come before them to
make sure those working for them were registered with the Federal Govt, and
were permitted by law to work here. In this case and with this business
especially ....This would make sure that human sex trafficking couldn't
establish itself in the community because the people owning the business would
now be on the record agreeing with the BOS saying they were complying with the
laws.
This now would give the selectmen the power to oversee that this human
trafficking couldn't happen, as those working in such a business had to comply
with ALL Federal Laws and those working for them had to be here legally, pretty
simple on paper. If the person was shown not complying with said Federal Law
and caught engaging in this sex service, the BOS could immediately take the
business license away as it would show that the persons presence here could be
and most likely would be involved in this illegal sex activity especially if
they didn't speak English. That would be one of the tell tale signs there was
a problem as even Attorney Ryan alluded to as she mentioned ESL, as "one of the
signs". This is NOT me saying this for all who want to jump down my throat.
So now we have a huge problem that the Town has to deal with to get solved.
This again happened because the TM didn't listen to me several years ago and
now the town is reaping the result.
I would like to see this be addressed at Town Meeting again and deal with it
through
the TM process, especially with this being addressed in the paper for all the
world to see. My recommendations make this a simple solution to solve but
for what I have experienced with the town they are not up for simple solutions.
So we will go through meeting after meeting to get where?
There has to be more oversight with the BOS and businesses coming into the
town.
