civility to which we all agreed when we joined this forum. Also, we agree to
keep things related to Framingham area issues.
One of the things we also agreed to was a long-standing rule prior to coming to
e-democracy: not re-posting someone else's post to any other public forum or
web page without their express permission. This rule has been violated lately.
When coupled with the following elements: 1) derogatory comments made about
other posters and religious and ethnic groups based specifically ion their
posts to FramGov, and 2) posting a link to those comments, the effect was to
circumvent list civility rules.
So, let's be clear. You cannot post a link to your own commentary on FramGov
posts if the commentary violates list civility rules. You cannot post a link to
another subscriber's commentary. (or that of a suspended subscriber) where the
commentary does not meet civility guidelines. It will be considered a violation
of list civility guidelines.
If anyone has any questions about the forum rules or management, drop me a note
off-list.
Thanks for your understanding.
