Tonights Workshop: Online Video / Citizen Journalism
----------------------------------------------------
Gain hands-on experience recording, editing and
uploading video. Today it is easier than ever to use
video to make yourself heard online; come learn how.
We'll talk about the use of online video as a tool
for citizen journalism.
I just want to remind everyone about tonight's workshop on Online
Video, at Rondo Community Outreach Library. We are very lucky to have
two members of TheUptake.Org conducting tonight's workshop for us. As
many of you know, http://theuptake.org/ is a local organization known
for its innovative use of video as a tool for citizen journalists,
while covering local and national stories.
The Uptake.Org played a very important role in covering the protests
outside of the Republican National Convention.
Here is your chance to learn more about the state of online citizen
journalism and how you can use video and the internet to tell stories
or cover important events.
