We have two great herbal classes this month at Tiny Diner that will help
keep you healthy this winter! Both are suggested donation but no one will
be turned away if unable to pay! See more information below:
*Ayurveda for Colds & Allergies*
*Wednesday October 18th*
*7:00-8:00*
Ayurveda is the ancient system of healthcare in India that translates to
life wisdom. Seasonal eating is an integral part of the holistic Ayurvedic
approach to health and healing. It is a system that determines how the
elements (space, wind, fire, water, and earth) are expressed in varying
degrees in our bodies to inform us how to achieve balance and harmony.
According to Ayurvedic teaching, fall is a Vata season and high Vata leads
to several symptoms such as colds, flu and allergies. Come and learn how to
deal with these diseases the Ayurvedic way and the diet and lifestyle for
fall to prevent getting sick. Suggested donation of $5-10. Please email
<email obscured> to reserve your space!
Instructor Information: Dr. Vanashree Gadam loves Ayurveda deeply and wants
to globalize it so that people all over the world can benefit from this
amazing ancient science. Dr Vanashree has a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine
and Surgery from India, a five and a half year course. She also has special
training in Nadi Pariksa, a technique used to diagnose disease by reading
an individual’s pulse. This class is presented by Minnesota Ayurveda
Association and Svasti Yoga.
*Flower Essences for the Cold Season, Fall Cleansing and Letting Go*
*Wednesday, October 25th*
*6:00-7:00*
Flower Essences are simple, safe medicines based on plant energetics,
similar to homeopathy. Flower essences are mostly known for treating
emotional states, but with deeper knowledge they can also be used to treat
the body.
In this class, we will review flower essence basics for those new to this
medicine, and then look deeper into remedies that can help our bodies and
minds transition in autumn, both literally and metaphorically--remedies
that are related to the Lung in Chinese Medicine and to the letting-go
process. Letting go of waste in the body and letting go of people and
events in our lives, preparing us to receive a new cycle. $10 suggested
donation. Please email <email obscured> to reserve your space.
Instructor Information: Loyola Colebeck is an accredited clinical Flower
Essence Therapist and Trauma Constellations facilitator. Loey practices
integrative therapy and provides an in-depth training course in Flower
Essence Therapy at Adagio Holistic in Minneapolis. *She is an ordained
minister of the Homeopathy Congress*, and speaks at conferences and schools
in the U.S. and abroad. She loves teaching and is passionate about helping
others become their best, happiest, healthiest self. See:
