Good Day My People...
Continuing from yesterday...
We Do Not Need To Know Everything To Do Everything
The world has been my home, I have intentionally chose to be homeless for the
past five years. Although I could have went with the majority have what most
would consider a nice home, nice life, nice community like I have had better
than most. I went the distance, as I thought. Yes i had the nicest house on the
block in one of the ten best neighborhoods to raise children in the United
States. Yeah had 120+ people employed a block away from our house. In my office
building that stretched a quarter block with our own drive through sally port.
Yes I walked into a company with only three employees a year earlier in a town
that i did not know or know anyone in that town prior to moving. Started in an
office suite for $10.00 Hr as a sales agent. I moved hundred of miles to do
this, matter of fact i moved from a nice house practically free rent-
government subsidized to an apartment to where i had to pay 500.00 a month for
rent. Year latter I was cutting deals with corporate executives representing
fortune 500 companies. Eating at the best places, signing so many checks i had
to get a stamper with my signature.
This was by far not the first business i have had cleverly founded, developed
with precision and poorly operated. That house had $500.00+ pictures adorn the
walls and a lot of them, then to sit down at the family table that sat twelve
on a $300.00 chair. Wow that place and time in my life I had felt successful
spending amounts of money that most would be happy to retire with, I made in a
year. I have had school teachers employed by my companies, Had a company that
was 90% Native American in Bemidji that taught employment skills while working.
The name of the business was- Handyman Network- Wow now this project i am going
to expose what was an original successful trial version of what will become a
role model in business practice. What i am proposing to everyone in this forum
that Cass Lake Partnership Corporation will have subsidiary companies such as
Daycare, Retarant, Cab, Housing, Detox!, Employment Training, Life Skills,
Group Homes, Elder Care, Auto Repair, "Well being place for healthy minds and
bodies, and the list goes on...Community Garden, Second Hand Store... etc.
There needs to be an alliance and a deep rooted level of communication among
the existing organizations that are already obligated to components of poverty
such as the Boys and Girls Club, The Tribe, Schools, Day Cares, Counselors,
Advocates, Politicians, Restaurants, Halfway House, etc.
Handyman Network was a company i started from scratch $0.00 in a town i knew no
one, came there fresh out of jail, homeless as ever staying at the homeless
shelter with no money. getting kicked out first thing in the morning, not able
to return until dinner time in the in the frigid winter. I met some real
wonderful people Pastor Stan Nelson furnished my place, while there was another
man that gave me a chance and hired me to work, however there was no work. He
rented me out a place on the hopes he would. This is only after 10 days in the
homeless shelter. One year latter I had acquired 20k in business asset bought
the old bug school van and got very busy the phone was ringing off the hook
with business our job log was averaging five jobs a day employing an average of
20 people. Doing everything from raking to remodeling, roofing, we offered 50
something different services on a flier that was a 1/3 of sheet of paper. So we
got three fliers to a sheet and delivered them under the windshield wipers at
all the major stores like Walmart, Target etc in town. Basically that piece of
paper with my phone number that guaranteed lowest price that also said we are a
network of skilled handymen that specialize in the fallowing 50 something
different trades immediately started with a bang. This was not a business i
liked, matter of fact i know nothing about carpentry. However, again i had to
be close to my children and this was the best market available to me at the
time where i could make money. That I did...Became the "king of Contractors"
again we do not need to know everything to do everything and I know I have said
"I" way too much. Never have I ever done anything by myself and neither has
anyone else who ever says they have is either lying or has never done it.
I work for no one, we work together, we make each other strongest.
The good in me, is the good in you, is the good in us.
Always doing the next best thing
