This forum is a place to discuss local, public issues and share community announcements using real names with civility. Everyone with an interest in seeing the communities of the Cass Lake Leech Lake area thrive is welcome to be a member.

The goal of the Cass Lake Leech Lake Issues Forum is to provide a neutral, non-threatening place to voice opinions and share our collective wisdom about the many issues faced by our interconnected communities.

By increasing civic participation and encouraging more input into solutions to area problems, the Cass Lake Leech Lake forum strives to increase communication between community members and influence political agendas locally and on a broader scale.

Goals

The goals of Cass Lake Leech Lake Issues Forum are:

  • To build community and understanding between members across imposed barriers.
  • To open discussion about local issues not being addressed adequately in other political or public venues.
  • To encourage dialogue and the sharing of knowledge and experience among area residents that might otherwise not take place because of fear of speaking in public, travel expense or other restrictions.
  • To influence policy and agenda setting on a variety of levels by encouraging participation from elected officials.
  • To provide a billboard for area events.

Typical Topics

Topics that you might find here to discuss include:

Participation Rules

By taking part in this forum, you accept the full rules of the forum.

Highlighted rules:

  • Be civil. (Remember that the purpose of the forum generally is to encourage discussion.)
  • No attacks or threats. (Keep comments/posts focused on issues rather than on the person or people who promote conflicting ideas.)
