But there's work to do, particularly important now, planning work for
instance.
Planning work - because the new Christchurch will be no better than the
best vision we have.
The idea of a greener, sustainable, garden city is strong, but the old
city was becoming less and less green, and in the 20 years I've been
here, the focus on gardens and beautiful streets has declined, and
sustainable we were certainly not.
So what's changed? Are we serious about that green, sustainable, garden
idea, or is it just pie in the sky?
