David Holmgren is best known as the co-originator with Bill Mollison of the
permaculture concept following the publication of "Permaculture One" in 1978.
He has written several more books, developed three properties using
permaculture principles and conducted workshops and courses in Australia, New
Zealand, Europe and Japan. Since the publication of his most recent book
"Permaculture: Principles & Pathways Beyond Sustainability" David has become
actively vocal and is taking his ideas to the receptive public wide and far.
Moving beyond the comfort and success of the 'home paddock' of Melliodora, the
showcase Permaculture property in Hepburn, Victoria, he offers unique and
timely insights for our time. David has masterfully inspired the development of
the Permaculture movement internationally to provide responses and solutions to
environmental and energy concerns and articulated the opportunities that the
Permaculture philosophy offers those looking for solutions to the threats of
Peak Oil and Climate Change. Davids wealth of practical and relevant
experiences of living Permaculture inform everything he says as he speaks with
passion about how we can learn to live more sustainably through Relocalisation
and Permaculture.
