On Monday 30 June, I will step down as Forum Manager, and hand the role to Andrew Groom. http://forums.e-democracy.org/p/andrewgroom Andrew will be well-known to most forum members, and has been a supporter of this forum from the outset. Although Andrew is a more active contributor to discussions than I have been, I have every confidence that Andrew will carry out this role in a diligent and even-handed way. I am delighted to be handing this role to such a capable pair of hands. Thank you, Andrew. I will continue to be in the forum, and on the Steering Team (they made me Chair of it). I will also help out behind the scenes supporting Andrew, and promoting the forum. I have enjoyed myself a great deal in this role. It has introduced me to many interesting and colourful people and issues, as well as keeping me in touch with the pulse of the province. Actually, I expect it will keep doing that. My thanks to everyone who has contributed to getting this forum going, this last year. The steering team whose loyalty to the forum has provided invaluable support. PlainsFM for helping with administration and promotion (including Nic Pegg for all those "In the forum this week" shows). CCC and ECan for helping with promotion. The Community Partnership Fund for giving the forum an invaluable boost. My staff here at OnlineGroups.Net, for sharing some challenging moments, as well as many entertaining ones. Tim Erickson and Steven Clift at E-Democracy.Org for their practical support and unwavering faith in public participative democracy. Every person who has joined the forum, whether you have posted or not, but especially all you folks who have posted. Not signing out just yet. Dan . . .
