Hi Andrew,
I have spoken to quite a few of them and they don't see why they should bother
getting onto the forums as they feel they wont be taken seriously and comments
like "the public is out to get us so why bother, we are on their blacklist
anyway doesn't matter what we do or don't do" are the general sort of response
I get from them.
I think also it is an age thing, most of them are too busy with their social
lives to get involved in the politics of it all, they are out there to have fun
and I honestly believe that 90% of the time they are not doing anything wrong,
most have good intentions and are genuinely out just to have a good time.
I also think that the whole political correctness thing has gone way too far.
there is no sense of respect instilled through home and school life anymore. My
wife recently attended a frontline management course and they had to take I
think it was 1-2 days of that course to learn how to specifically deal with
generation Y. that is ridiculous really. I think they should bring back the
strap, perhaps an automated version that has age settings and keeps the
problems of perverts or injury at bay. they could call it the "Smack-o-matic"
or something catchy. I got a smack on the backside when I was young and it
didn't do me any harm.
There are many things which need to be considered on a whole to the "Boy Racer"
situation as I believe it to be a symptom of a combination of many things,
which if we deal with these then I think resolving the symptoms will be much
easier.
