If any members of the Forum are watching the new Jamie Oliver series, what do you think? With our supermarkets and St Phillips Marsh Market on a Sunday we do pretty well in the Wards. But we have very few small shops and I know that we've got our share of bad eating habits. In the schools the Council has introduced their 'healthy options', but the meals are still over-cooked and un-appetizing. If any of you have the stomach for it, go to http://www.jamiesministryoffood.com/content/c4/home.html and have a think about his pass-it-on plan. Wicklea Youth and Community Centre has a kitchen - it'd be great to see it used to teach young people and young families that healthy cooking doesn't have to be expensive or fancy.
Hello, I watched the series for the first time Tuesday night and thought it was
great.
I have to admit i've never been big on cooking, but in the past year I cooked
at least twice a week - Because I don’t have much patience in kitchen it is all
quick and easy with simple ingredients, because I always forget something from
the supermarket!!
Pass It On is a great idea I am quite happy to pass on my recipes with or
without Jamie Oliver!!
