Bristol - Brislington Neighbourhood Forum Charter

The Brislington Community Forum is a place on the web where people living or working in Brislington's East and West Wards come together to exchange ideas, opinions, and information on local affairs. It has been set up by local volunteers within the Brislington Community Partnership (www.brislington.org), but the local council and other local organisations will also be asked to join in the discussions, so your views can make a difference.

Purpose

The purpose of the Bristol - Brislington Neighbourhood Forum is to improve the quality of decision-making in our community.

Goals

The goals of Bristol - Brislington Neighbourhood Forum are:

  • to make it easier for the voices of local people to be heard
  • to connect citizens to public officials

Topics that you might find here to discuss include:

  • Community issues that matter to you - from schools, local policing, parks, and libraries to issues of particular interest to community or neighbourhood groups
  • Matters being discussed by the local council or local issues that you feel should be addressed by the council or the government
  • Stories in local newspapers, radio stations or other local media
