Patchwork Fundraiser
Our big fundraiser is coming up on Friday 29th May at the Hen and Chicken.
Tickets are available now from the Bristol Ticket Shop, or send me an email and
we can get some to you - they're £5.
The line up is: The Balkany Band, poetry from Roy Gallop, Chris Webb, The Red
Notes Socialist Choir, Yikes!! (Guy Malkerson and Roger Allen), with compere
extraordinaire Mr Alex Furr. We'll also be having a raffle, so if you have
anything you can donate towards this, please let me know.
Patchwork will be taking part in this year's Get Growing Garden Trail on 6 and
7 June. This is when fruit and veg growing projects around Bristol open their
gates and plots. We will be having a 'make a bee hotel' activity on the
community orchard from 2-4pm on the Saturday. If you have any broken bamboo
canes that you're thinking of chucking out, please let me know as we can
probably use them for our bee hotels.
Our next session is Thursday 28th May at 6.30pm. I'll send out an email nearer
the time to let you know where to meet. Don’t forget the Secret Gardens of
Bedminster trail this Sunday from 1-5pm. Brochures are available from the
Tobacco Factory market (where there's also going to be a great plant market)
between 10am and 2.30pm on the day.
Over £500 was raised at the recent Secret Gardens Trail. Thanks to everyone who
got involved and in particular thank you to Matthew Symonds for organising it
all so brilliantly. Don't forget, if you bought a leaflet, you can use it again
on 12th July. If you'd like to give some feedback on the day, please follow
