Tesco is a greedy outfit. They should be resisted especially when there is
already one so close: 300m away on East St. Come on people...use your
legs!!! This new Tesco will no doubt be as erratically stocked and
inconvenient as other 'convenience' stores like McColls. We need shops,
there is no question. A local fishmongers would be great. Or indeed any shop
run by people that are passionate or at least informed about the goods they
are selling.

Esther,
I do use Masala regularly; it is a great shop and Nelly has worked hard to
make it through difficult times. The fish supplies though, have been hit and
miss with regard to availability, mainly because it's not a fishmongers,
it's a café-meeting place-deli...that also sells fish.
