Folks from E-Democracy.org are planning to reconnect with as many of
you as possible on Wednesday, September 23rd. We want to hear what you
think of the forum so far and gather ideas on how to make it better.
Here is the draft agenda in order of relevancy to most members:
1. Issues Forum Celebration Picnic/Happy Hour - Free Brats/Pop, Bring
Something to Share - We will probably need to start at 4:30 and go til
6:30 to do this in the light. If Shannon can resolve her chicken
permit issues, we'd be open to a chicken BBQ! I'll be working with
Jeff Ueland on the exact location/time ... but mark your calendars now
and meet the names on the forum (and lots of quiet folks as well).
2. Free Training: Finding and tracking "civic" information to share
with the forum and seed discussions - Want to learn about cool online
tools that help you discover new online content/news about Bemidji
that you can feed to the forum for discussion?
3. Over Coffee: Tips for Community Leaders Using Social Media - If you
are an elected official, civil servant, community organization leader
and you want tips on using blogs, Twitter, Facebook, this forum, etc.
on how to better represent/serve/communicate with people drop us a
note!
4. Forum Manager and Lead Volunteers Meeting and Evaluation Interviews
- Just before or after the picnic we want to interview some folks as
part of our project evaluation.
The other events will be held based on demand/interest.
To RSVP your interest, simply send your city name and session
number(s) in the subject (i.e. Bemidji - 1, 2) with detailed contact
information and times that day that work best for you as well as any
questions you might have to:
